The year is 1732. John Wesley, an irritatingly self-righteous instructor at Oxford is offered the chance to go to the new colony of Georgia, where he hopes to preach to the Indians. During the voyage, the ship encounters a violent storm; overwhelmed with the fear of death, Wesley begins to doubt the validity of his faith In Georgia, Wesley's plans are waylaid: he is not able to do much preaching among the native tribes, and falls in love with Sophy Hopkey, the beautiful niece of the local magistrate. When the star-crossed romance fails to produce a proposal from the angst-ridden young minister, Sophy marries another; bitterness explodes between the two until one day Wesley publicly refuses to serve Holy Communion to Sophy. He is arrested for defamation of character - and is to be tried by Sophy's uncle! There will be no fair trial here. Escaping from Savannah, he returns to England in failure and shame...

Sir Arthur Eddington is a renowned physicist at Cambridge University and an expert in the measurement of the physical world. He along with all of his colleagues are also avowed Newtonians. Sir Oliver Lodge suggests that he read a new thesis put forward by a German-Swiss scientist named Albert Einstein who is suggesting that Sir Isaac Newton may have got it wrong. The expectation is that Einstein's theories will be disproven but Eddington admits that his General Theory of Relativity has merit. These are turbulent times as England and Germany are at war and Eddington's own loyalty is called into question when, as a Quaker, he refuses to fight. In the end, Eddington develops a series of tests to either prove or disprove Einstein's theories. For his part, Einstein has his own struggles during this period: the breakdown of his marriage, his integration into the university in Berlin and his own strident pacifism that led him to oppose German militarism and the First World War...

In the Ecuadorian jungles of the Amazon, the Waodani people, one of the most violent societies on the planet, live totally cut off from civilization. Their homicide rate has brought them to the brink of extinction. One of their tribal leaders is Mincayani. Somewhere not far away along the Amazon, five young North American missionaries and their families have set out to find the Waodani. Nate Saint, Jim Elliott, Pete Fleming, Ed McCully and Roger Youderian eventually locate the Waodani village and find a sandbar on which to land their small plane. When one of the tribesmen lies that the foreigners on the sandbar have abducted and killed a tribeswoman, Mincayani and his fellow warriors find their site and spear the five Americans. The missing missionaries make headlines in the worldâ??s media and a search ensues. When the Waodani see the helicopter and the size of the search party they think the foreigners will take their revenge, so they burn their huts and flee deeper into the jungle. Within months of the killings, a Waodani woman who had fled the tribe, helps gain entry into the tribe for the wife of one missionary and the sister of another, as well as Nateâ??s son, Steve. In time, they come to live with the Waodani and through a series of events the spearing that was destroying the tribe comes to an end. Steve wants to learn which warrior killed his father. He leaves the tribe as a boy with this question unanswered. Steve returns as an adult when his aunt, Rachel Saint, who had spent the rest of her life with the Waodani, dies. The Waodani want Steve to live with them the way Rachel did, but Steveâ??s unanswered questions keep him from agreeing. Mincayani takes Steve to the river where his father was killed and confesses to spearing him. At that moment, Steve and Mincayani are forced to confront the true meaning of the life and death of Steve's father and the other men who were killed.

Maggie (Ali Faulker) is an 18 year-old girl who leaves her adopted Christian home after her father's tragic death. Trying to fill a void in her life, Maggie feels the need to locate her birth mother. What she finds is not what she hoped for. Maggie finds a mother that does not love her or want her. Maggie gets caught up in this woman's world. After a few months enough becomes enough and when all hope is lost, one desperate night she reaches her breaking point. In a rage, she releases her frustrations by destroying the seedy hotel room that has been her home. At her feet falls a Bible, and it is then she realizes that there is only one thing that can break the bondage she is in and that is Jesus Christ our Savior. She realizes through God's Word that he has a better plan for her life. Finding the courage she runs away from the nightmare she has been living. With the faith of a mustard seed, Maggie has no place to go but living on the streets alone, broke and scared.
Maggie meets just the right people, Max and Grace, who will make her passage a reality. Grace (Sheran Keyton Goodspeed) gives her shelter and wisdom, while Max (Mike Norris), broken himself, becomes a father figure. These two take Maggie under their wings and help her get to where she belongs, at home with her adopted mother(Janine Turner) who has been praying for her safe return.

The Secret of Kells este un film comlex, care reuneste partea mistica, spirituala si intelectuala cu o poveste pt plina de aventuri, implicatii sentimentale si o calatorie initiatica, potrivindu-se oricarei generatii de spectatori(de la mic la mare).
Astfel, tanarul Branden, care s-a nascut si isi duce viata in cadrul abatiei Kells, impartaseste si evolueaza avand la capatai invataturile unchiului sau, staretul Cellach.
Acest film este o continua lupta, incepand cu iminentul razboi caruia calugarii abatiei vor trebui sa ii faca fata-invazia vikingilor, continuand cu zbuciumul micului aventurier care, se vede nevoit sa incalce regulile unchiului sau pentru a evolua si a-si insusi invataturile fratelui Aidan si terminand cu calatoria pe care acesta o va face spre a propovadui cunostintele acumulate si pe care o va incheia tot la Kells, pentru a incheia cercul.
Avand un efect puternic moralizator, acestui film nu ii lipseste nimic pentru a putea fi numit capodopera, intrucat are un subiect atat de bine construit, personaje cu caractere puternice, coloana sonora extraordinara, si de ce nu, o poveste originala si inovatoare.

It's the basis for all kinds of attacks against the God of the Bible and His teachings. It's even used to attack the evidence of His existance and the legitimacy of the Christian faith.
The response typically given to "Do You Believe in God?," is almost always the same. If there is a God and he loves me then he wouldn't do that, he wouldn't cause this, he wouldn't allow this to happen, and on it goes. This film aims to answer those questions and counteract that kind of thinking.
- Is there a purpose in my suffering?
- Is God truly Sovereign?
- Is there a purpose in all things, even my death or someone elses?
- Why do these things happen to me!?

David, a widower, is working himself to death. Late nights doing paperwork and running on fumes is normal. Bills are piling up by the week, and foreclosure looms on the horizon. Blaming God for his wife's death, he ends his relationship with the church.
Steven, the remaining Christian of the household, has been watching his father’s unhealthy lifestyle with great concern. With help from his grandpa and best friend Maggie, Steven reaches out to his father in any way he can.
Despite his grieving and worsening financial problems, David begins seeking an answer to the question haunting him since his wife's death...WHY?
