When two high school girls, Daniella and Krista, find themselves working on a School Science Project about UFOs, they soon realize that they may be in a little over their heads. After family problems and an over-obsessive personality mislead Daniella to thinking that she must experience a UFO in order to get a good grade, this project soon threatens to tear apart her friendships, family, and even her very own life.

Like any religious work, it is story about relation with God. Like every Italian religious film, it is story about personal relation with life who, grace of subtle signs, is base of God's love. And when the central character is a saint with a strong fame in Italy, Latin America,an incorruptible saint and spiritual mother of many families, witness of wonderful miracles and victim of hard times,ideal wife,mother and nun, it is enough for ignore the artistic value of movie in favor of his spiritual message.

La sfârşitul secolului al XIV-lea, un orăşel din Italia, Cascia, este prins în ghearele ciudatului război civil. În Cascia singurul limbaj acceptat este cel al violenţei. Rita, o tânără de o frumuseţe angelică se îndrăgosteşte de cavalerul Paolo. Însă curând află că Paolo nu e altceva decât un sângeros criminal. Bunătatea ei reuşeşte să îi înmoaie inima lui Paolo şi acesta se cuminţeşte cei doi devenind părinţii a doi copii. Dar Paolo este ucis de foştii săi camarazi şi Ritei îi este teamă că fii lor vor apuca pe drumul fără linişte al răzbunării. Se roagă Domnului ca să îi cruţe pe fii ei de ispita răzbunării morţii tatălui lor şi Dumnezeu îi ascultă rugăciunea iar cei doi fii ai săi mor. Ei au fost salvaţi, dar Rita este este acum deznădăjduită şi încearcă să se retragă la o mânăstire. Însă nu e primită acolo şi Rita află că misiunea ei este alta: de a aduce pacea în Cascia şi abia apoi va putea să se retragă.
