Jake Taylor has everything. He has a beautiful girl, he's the champion in basketball and beer pong, and everyone loves him. Then, an old childhood friend, whom Jake used to be friends with, commits suicide. Jake begins to think. He wonders what he could've done to save his friend's life. A youth minister tells him that Jake needs God. So Jake becomes a Christian. However, things begin to spin out of control. His dad is cheating on his mom, his girlfriend is pregnant, and his former friends ridicule and mock him. During all this, Jake is going to realize just what it means to be a Christian and how, to save a life.

Filmul spune povestea lui Jake Taylor,un tanar baiat care le are pe toate: o bursa de baschet, prietena ideala si cei mai buni prieteni. Dar pus fata in fata cu cerintele multimii, Jake ii spune adio prietenului din copilarie, Roger. Izolat si tratat cu dispret, Roger isi duce mania la extrem cand intr-o zii vine in campus cu o arma. Cu toate ca incearca, Jake nu il poate opri pe Roger. Apoi evenimentele ce urmeaza ii schimba viata lui Jack. Remuscarile ca ar fii putut sa-i salveze viata lui Roger il omoara. In incercarea de a se mantui, cauta un nou Roger printre tocilari,invisi si singuratici.Dar tot acest fapt il face pe Jack sa se intrebe in primul rand: "Cum vreau sa imi fie viata?" Un film pe care toti parintii si adolescentii trebuie sa il vada.
