Astfel, tanarul Branden, care s-a nascut si isi duce viata in cadrul abatiei Kells, impartaseste si evolueaza avand la capatai invataturile unchiului sau, staretul Cellach.
Acest film este o continua lupta, incepand cu iminentul razboi caruia calugarii abatiei vor trebui sa ii faca fata-invazia vikingilor, continuand cu zbuciumul micului aventurier care, se vede nevoit sa incalce regulile unchiului sau pentru a evolua si a-si insusi invataturile fratelui Aidan si terminand cu calatoria pe care acesta o va face spre a propovadui cunostintele acumulate si pe care o va incheia tot la Kells, pentru a incheia cercul.
Avand un efect puternic moralizator, acestui film nu ii lipseste nimic pentru a putea fi numit capodopera, intrucat are un subiect atat de bine construit, personaje cu caractere puternice, coloana sonora extraordinara, si de ce nu, o poveste originala si inovatoare.

The film takes place in the 1970’s in Oxford, NC and explores the racial upheaval—and ensuing social change—provoked by the acquittal of a white father and son accused of murdering a black man in cold blood and in full public view.
Recounts the aftermath of the murder of Henry Marrow, a 23 year-old African American Vietnam veteran who was killed by a prominent white businessman and his grown sons in Oxford, North Carolina. Responding to the crime and the sham trial that followed, many young African American men take to the streets, engaging in riots and vandalism. However, Marrow's cousin, Benjamin Chavis, decides that the best way to protest the government's unwillingness to intercede is to organize a peaceful march on the state Capitol. What begins as a small group of Marrow's outraged friends and relatives soon grows to become a crowd of thousands over a three-day, fifty-mile trek to Raleigh. Ten years old at the time, Timothy Tyson watched as his father, pastor of the all-white Methodist church, tried in vain to get his congregation to reconcile with their African American neighbors. It was already too late; the black citizens of this small Southern town had decided to take matters into their own hands.

Este un film bun, care vorbeste despre o traire pe care noi trebuie s-o avem ca crestini, iar mai presus de asta este dupa un caz real. Nu judecati filmul dupa aparente, vizionati-l si o sa fiti surprinsi de ceea ce o sa vedeti...
