When a young slave, Michael, sets out with his Roman masters to collect the results of a census, little does he know his life is about to change. A stormy shipwreck, a treacherous journey through scorching desert heat, a break from jail, and the rescue of the single most important child in the Christmas story, the infant Jesus, are just a few of the adventures in store for Michael. Captivated by a bright star and three funny old wise men, Michael finds his destiny and his freedom!

Micul Tobosar este povestea lui Michael, un băietel sclav care călătoreste către Iudea cu stăpânii săi romani. Pe drum, el se întâlneste cu cei Trei Magi care sunt în căutarea Pruncului Sfânt.
